    Default Pump

My motor is out of the boat right now so i tried turning the pump. It moves freely but sounds like it has a lot of sand in it. the sand sound sounds like it is coming from the front bearing. can that bearing be removed without removing the whole jet? could the sand sound be the bearing itself?

Yes the bearing can be removed without removing the pump. You will need to remove the bowl, impellor, and bearing cap. The shaft and bearing should then slide out the front (towards the bow of the boat).
