Can anyone tell me what would cause a crack like this in the suction housing?
Second picture crack is colored yellow and is it repairable?!

    Thanks!

I bet cavitation. That's what happened to mine. You will have more problems then that crack if you fix it.

I'm pretty sure cavitation caused this to happen to mine. Took a blown alcohol 540 from ~7k rpms to 0 before I new what happened. No bueno for sure.

They only take so many pressure cycles, then the above can happen. They were not perfect castings back when, and there are some out there with pretty bad core shift, thin walls. The new Dominator suctions are superior to the OEM Berkeleys.
