We spit part of a blade off this weekend. Fortunately it only put one small knick in the impeller and a small knick in the wear ring. didnt touch the bowl. The broken piece was caught between the reverse gate on top of the pump.

Put an un-detailed inducer back in. No noticeable change in performance.

Thanks Duane HTP for having one at the track.

I have not experienced any problems with the HM inducer myself, but was told by one pump shop that if I used one of their extreme detailed units that I would have to regularly check it and periodically replace it.

I did a basic detail, shaping and smoothing of the one I have myself, but I don't think I appreciably took too much strength out of it by extreme thinning, etc. And again I am not operating at the power levels of you two guys.

Almost back together.... but at the house with family in and grandkid birthday party...... I have been told certain weekends to not even think about it.... BTW, is the race info posted on-line?
