    Default Anti-corrosion additives?

River water is corrosive shit. We drain the water out of the block now, but want to run an additive thru it before storage. I was told Pro-Blend is good, but really expensive. What do you guys like to use?

    Thanks!

Pour a gallon of anti freeze in a bucket and pump it thru the motor. The most important part is to disconnect the negative side of the battery after use. That helped me the most

I drain the block of sand and water then fill with water and add vinegar/bowl as well. I also pull all plugs and give each cylinder a couple squirts of mystery oil/carb also. In San Diego so no worry on freeze.

It freezes up here in the High Desert, I just flush and leave empty. Anti- Freeze by itself is very corrosive, i would mix it 50:50. We don't blow out radiators so it wont crack a block either.

What river have you been going to? That is where most of our drinking water comes from.... just saying....

Nah, just flush it was a 50/50 mix after each season and fill the system with it. Either have it completely full or empty, just my opinion. Most of what you are seeing is just calcium deposits, it's more noticeable with aluminum.
