    In the pic , the shoe is about 5/16 above the keel.

    i was a 1/16 below now im an 1/8 below but still playing with it,you need to drill and tap the intake to get a pressure reading to see if the bottom of the impeller is loading.loader feeds the top and shoe feeds the bottom. let the fun begin

    19' Daytona , 583ci , 1500+ hp.......Run short track only , 660-1000' max.
    There is some shim in the shoe, comes out to either 825 or 845 cant remember rite now.

    No!

    This is not a v bottom, don't relate the shoe to keel on something like this. Too many variables like keel depth and keel type. You need to test to establish your ideal biting edge.

    You will always be above keel on something like this (fast tunnel boat) when things are right.
