    i would weld it, but we have broken welds there too

    Broke mine too same spot...had a bud weld it up and the new owner still has it in there working fine 5 years later....

    Keep it bolted to pump while you weld it.

    Why not just replace it. They aren't gonna break the bank for a new one!
