As I recall, Solution Boats was started by a fireman who started out building boats in his backyard.
Full stringer boats always good reviews in Powerboat Mag

That Fireman was my Uncle Robert Santhoff. I think he started that business in the late 70's and ran with it through the 80's. Yes he was a fireman. The boats I remember were decent and fun to ride in. I just ran across this and what a blast to see one still out there.

Looks like a Bahner 18' Sprint splash to me. It has that little flip (tail) on the back.

I came across one for sale here in Lake Forest when I was shopping for mine last year, looked really nice, was a 19' and didn't end up pursuing it as I wanted something bigger.

Thumbs up Here's my '85 Solution

I love my boat. Ive had it since '99. still has the original gel in pretty descent shape. Had a 396 & a stock berkley when I bought it. In 2005 I re rigged the boat, new int, 550 bbc, rebuilt the Berkley pump with a legend bowl w/ inducer B impeller. no ride plate... does 89 GPS. Tons of fun!! Nice to see some other Solutions out there.

    Default Solution Boats

The builder is Robert Santhoff. He originally called the company Robert' Boats and then changed the name of the company to Solution Boats. He built and raced boats from 1968 through the 90's and so many have become classics. He lives in Lake Elsinore, CA and if you have any questions about his boats, please feel free to call him at 909-731-3976.
