    Default Impeller Question

I have 525 bbf pushing about 450-475 hp in front of a fresh built berkley pump with an A impeller. My boat will not exceed 4800rpm and tops out at 65-67mph i spent about 4 grand over the winter on a ride plate new carb and tune droop snoot and place diviter and other misc. stuff and there was no difference in top end. Is the a impeller holding me back?

Just curious if those HP numbers are predicted or from a dyno ? and are you positive that you do for certain have an A impeller ? Tom

Is this in your 21' daycruiser? If so, 65-67 is pretty damn respectable IMO. FWIW, I have an 18' with about the same horsepower, no ride plate, that turns an A impeller around 4900-5000 @ couple mph over 70.
