I know that feeling, and sound very well.
My first jet boat, a few weeks old. My thoughts were, I have a jet boat,
I can go anywhere. Clearly I could not go over gravel, under shallow water.

Years ago I just happened to be looking back as my pump ate a couple pieces of bark. I saw one piece pop out and fly a good 10 feet above the rooster tail. I guess they're a lot lighter than rocks, but it's all I got.

Maybe its time for a stainless imp.
I've had a few small rocks in the pump, but nothing like that, on a WJ pump and stainless impeller.
My Dominator bowl looked worse than that, (nickle to quarter sized chunks missing on 2 or 3 veins) filed/ground it down 'seems' to be fine.
I'd clean it up and run it.
    But thats on my junk

Took my chick from havasu to Topock, done it 100 times, hit a sandbar and sent her into the guages. thank god a fisherman stopped and pulled us out ,after 2 boats looked at us and kept going. Got to to Topock and nothing. GREAT whatever. Went back to havasu and trailered, screw the rip from needlesto Havasu, i'm staying at Parker

Ok so the whitewater guys go over gravel bars all the time....maybe loose the speed grate and put a rock grate in? Those guys still do some good speeds with a rock grate....just saying

[QUOTE=rogerroost;1707273]my wife still got to boat ,,was just a bit slower

Sorry for your misfortune, but also glad, it could have been a whole lot worse... AND, something about that picture makes the water look REAL FRICKIN COLD.......

Good luck getting it all back together this winter.....

PS Is there any ICE on that water back in the shady coves??? I think you need a trip to beautiful Arizona and the WARM, crystal clear, Colorado River....
