    Default Over Transom Headers

I'm looking at getting a set of over transom headers for my boat. I'm running a BBC. Does anyone have a suggestion as to were I can order some or what ones are better then others. So far I have found a set of basset and rewinder headers. Both come with all hardware, water valve and piping. The rewinder headers are a twist style and also hug the engine a little closer then normal. I don't know if that will cause issues with the tall valve covers and bullet aluminum plug wire holders I am running. Both styles are 1000.00 and are priced through CPU Performance.
Any suggestions or information is greatly appreciated.

    Brian

    What boat?

I like the look of short twisties, but on our Miller jet with water lines the Basset long Bells are what clears the transom, and nothing drips or pukes on the paint.

It's a 79 Wisconsin ski boat. There is roughly 16 inches from the back of the block to the transom.

I have these Hooker headers for sale for $600 plus shipping. They are pretty much brand new and have the stainless water lines.

Bassett, Rewarder, Hooker, Any one will work fine, especially if it's a basically mild HP motor.

I would take the ones offered for 600.00. That's a fair price for a new set of headers with water lines. You'll also need a "Bassett" tee if it's not included with them.
