i swapped from a 3 point to a 4. i think it was a worthwhile upgrade. taking the motor in/out was a pain to get everything lined up with the 3 point, which i pull the motor out for every oil change. plus without the huge bellhousing in the rear and mounts in the middle i have a ton of room, its easier to clean the bilge and i ended up tucking the fuel pump up where they used to be. with the plates and angle sandwiching the stringers it just seems like a lot better setup. seemed to help with vibrations as well.
