Default Quarter Craft mini hydro build.. need advice

Ok just picked this up. I need ideas and history about these things.
It runs the way it is with a modifed 440 jet ski motor in it.
If it is not scary enough i have a rotax 1300 in my shop. I need you guys to help me brainstorm possibilites for this thing.
Also thinking of taking the jet pump out and running half of a V drive set up. so that i can get the boat out of the water at speeds.
anyway lets hear some ideas and concerns.
what would you do if this was yours?
Do you know anything about the history of this little guy?

I get a red X but that may be a work firewall.

Which half of a v-drive are you thinking of using?

If i was you id resell it as you have wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyy to many half finished projects and you need another like a hole in the head, or mount it on the wall at your river house and just look at it.

nope. it is going to lake isabella on sunday for a shake down. I will bring my hand held gps to see what she will do. If the manual is correct it should top out around 50mph.

My son is going to love this as soon as he is old enough to know what a boat is. LOL...

and you are right about my half finished projects but thats what happens when you have to out source. I am going to check up on my bulltaco motor. all parts were delivered to the engine shop 3 weeks ago. I would imagine it should be done by now.

I am hoping my aluminum welder guy is at his shop today so i can take the gas tank for the other mini boat to him to get it shortened. Once that tank is done the rest should be assembly and riggin. Oh and i ordered the controls from a wakejet with the trigger throttle. And i am not even sure if the guy has sent it yet. I need to send him a message.

The FJ is a working project. I have been driving it everyday and i dont plan to fix anything that would take it down for more than a day.

the rest of the projects (porsche 917 kit car, my 3000gt vr4, my gsxr, the wifes manx, and my OJ bronco) are on the back burner until i get the rest done. Oh and i ordered new batteriers for the rolls royce golf cart a month ago and i still have not seen those yet. I need to contact napa and find out whats up..

I still have a few more projects in the back yard as well. but their time will come

800 as it sits. pump looks stout but it has a small diameter. so not sure how much power we can put to it. But i will be talking to tom over at JBP about the build. But more than likely i will be running it with the motor that is in it for a while.

one seat means i can make it as stupid fast as i want to and the wife wont be able to tell me to slow down. hahaha..

I still might add a mini cat to the collection with twins on the back. i think that set up is bad as hell as well.

And if the hydro runs fine with its current motor i still have that big 1300 rotax donar ski to use on something.

nothing wrong with owning 4 mini boats
