    Default JR Drive (JBP)

    Tom,

Did I let the cat out of the bag on these pumps, Sorry

Can you put up some pics, and details about the pumps? I was very curious about these pumps back when Dave was telling me about them but he wouldn't give up the goods (he was testing). I'm curious what one of those would run price wise too and when you think they will be available for purchase. I've been searching for somebody with the old style JR Drive for years!

Here's a old email reply from Dave
I don't have any old ones. The pump is 27" long and uses a smaller intake by 1/3 in size. The pump will run around $ + intake of $ dollars. We did test one with a 143 HP Ford v6 and it ran 49.9 MPH in a amphibian auto. the test was conducted by Sea Ray boats not us. It Pulled 1090 Pounds of Bullard (Thrust) while the Hamiltons with each having larger Suburu motors pulling the 850 to 890 Range. A Mercury Axial with a 300HP power head pulled 920 Pounds. The MPH was held back as the wheelwells were spraying water out 3 to 4 foot out all 4 wells. However the Test boat outran a new SeaDoo boat bought for photoing this test. I have 6 cast up now and 1 complete about to go into a Proto test hull in the next few weeks. I hope to test it with a Eco Tech GM Motor and expect to run around 55 MPH in a deep V 17' hull at 174 HP. Dave (Pops)
That was back in early 2010
