Default Running a Mercuiser hydraulic pump

Does anybody know about putting restricters in the lines to run the diverter? If so what is the drill size to drill them out?

PM Bob Prigmore then let me know what he says. I think I'm going to one of those pumps too.

Not all the Merc pumps are the same. Most likely you have the incorrect unit. I make them for B1 and Petersons and we do not run restrictors. You may be able to run them that way, never tried it. Just wanted to clarify that we don't set them up that way. They may look the same externally, but there are several different units available.

The one pictured is roughly 8.5-9 lbs. I have a new unit I'm building that weighs 6.5 lbs and I'm working on a newer unit that will be 5.5 lbs. The 5.5 lb unit may be a ways out still. The 6.5 lb units are available now.

Will these pumps plug right into a bennet wiring harness or does the whole system need to be rewired? I am definately interested if it is a plug and play as a bennet replacement. The one I have would need too much modification to be worth it at the price you sell them for. Thanks.
