Congrats to them. They put some miles on this year, with Burley and Black Lake.
How'd the jets do in the Enduro John?

Harold, Mark and Terry drove the CJ21 to win division one and a 7th overall finish and US1, National High points championship to boot. Five Comp jets started the race and 4 finished taking the checkered flag. Not sure of the finish order, but I think it was a new CJ from Phoenix, CJ702 (Bill Mason) in 2nd followed by Mark Moyle/Joe Dilworth in CJ22, Jim Rich in CJ72 and Randy and Matt Lechter in CJ52. The CJ52 boat would have finished but a late race spin drowned his ignition. CJ22 took the checkered flag and then ran out of gas and had to be towed to the trailer... That's cutting it close. They also had to replace a broken rocker stud during a pit stop in order to keep it going.

An awesome showing for the Comp Jets and congratulations to all... This should eliminate any more crap about the Comp Jets not worthy of being in the Inboard Endurance category...

Now lets try not to be a jerk. Nobody EVER said they weren't worthy of being in the IE. The GPS 95 class is in the IE, and it NEVER ONCE been said that they weren't worthy of being in the catrgory. Lets get the FACTS straight here Shirl, it was said you CHOSE not to act like endurance boats.

Congradulations to Terry and Harold for a hard fought championship and a great showing at the 300.

While its true that we have chosen not to mount a serious effort at endurance racing in the past it did not mean that we couldn't do it... I think the Comp Jets showed this week end that we can run endurance events if we choose to do so... And finish with an 80% completion record. (Woulda been 100% if it weren't for the wet ignition on CJ52).
Now we can go back to being sprint boats until next year...

Hummmm, I seem to remember someone saying that Comp. Jets weren't deserving of the HOC.
This is the only real endurance race run all year. The rest are all sprint races.
Congratulations again to Terry, Harold, and Mark.

Thanks everyone. The Crew and additional volunteers were fantastic. It was entirely a group effort at the pit stops. It was a great showing for all the CJ's. Mark Moyle,Jim Rich, Randy-Matt and The Jet Boat Plus group and they all deserve a BIG Congrats.

    Great job,

The jets did real good I liked the twin jet pump set up on one of the boats

And another had a beautiful ford Boss motor

We were next to the cj22 boat in the pits

A big thanks to all the jet boat teams for coming to Parker 300 and racing

    Big Steve
