Default A piece of history followed me home today. Last Mach 1 race boat.

Well some how. some way. Tom Label of auto marine engineering finally let this thing go.
from what he says this thing was the last to come out of the mold before it was sold. out of the mold with dropped sponsoms and weighed in at 325 lbs
It has a Garrah Low pro intake and pump in it, Balsa floors, and lots of stainless lines and what not left in it.
From what tom told me, it used to run somewhere in the 9.0's with a injected 468. It was last raced in 85 and from there it was taken apart and was put up on a rack untill today.
super excited to start on this project. Ill try and keep the paint, floors, and motor close to what it used to be.
    but for now some photos

Alright! Another project to watch. Seems like a lot of nice hardware to start off with.

Are you gonna keep it a single seater?

    Jake that is so cool

We used to always pit next to Label when I was a kid crewing on a 8.0 hydro. Times Money 2 was the boat.

I remember seeing it in their shop back in the 80's when we used to go to AME for parts for our BGJ. Very cool, can't wait to see it when it's done. Are you going to restore it?

Thanks everybody. I am excited to start on this project. The plan is to have the floors and paint fixed to the original way it was back in the day pin striping and all. Tom still has the original hilborn injection at the shop also. if all goes to plan ,it will have that too.

@ chris you can kinda see his old boat in one of the pictures.

You must be a glutton for punishment! The gel isn't completely dry on your dragster yet and your jumping head first into another major build. YOU GO BOY! Nice project boat to do though, good luck, I'll be watching as well.
