    Default machining shaft for inducer?

are these the right deminsions for the dps inducer? i pulled them offa the dps site, but on other pumps i've worked on or built , the key way for the inducer was opposite of the impellor key. so do i cut the keyway for the inducer inline with the impellor keyway?

I don't have my instruction sheet here at work but my new shaft from MPD

those are the correct dimensions as furnished with the dps inducer and the billet inducer. most will cut the key ways in line as you can use the impeller key to locate off of for the centerline. i have cut several, by request ,with the key way 180 degree rotated from the impeller. had an engineer tell me that this was stronger but i don"t know. anyhow i have several want the key way rotated, just a thought. tip. if not running a lot of coolant watch out cutting the shaft as it will grow from the heat, leave a little extra for the final grind and be sure the shaft has cooled down.
