Default Make a Ride plate on a jacuzzi with a energizer kit

Curious if anyone has made their own ride plate kit...I have a wj with a kit on it, 18 foot tahiti, putting in a fresh mild 468, thinking of making a ride plate for cheap. Any ideas on equipment or the best way to go about it, anyone done their own???? cost??? picd??? was gonna get a wj ride plate but the brackets don't mount due to it having the energizer kit (Berkeley styling I guess), so maybe I need a Berkeley kit? Really don't wanna tap into the bowl..may be use a wj cradle and rig it to work..? All knowledge is accepted!!! Thanks.

A true ride plate requires intake removal and machining of the intake casting as well as relieving the hull (behind the intake) Tom

Tom, isn't a ride plate more about the boat than the pump?... Seems like you would need a bunch of data from extensive testing in order to find the right size, and position of the plate based on BOAT performance.... One size really can't fit all, can it?.....

We have machined Jacuzzi intakes for ride plates and shoes and built these one off for years and yes your correct much is predicated on the boat , the position of the jet etc I think what the OP was possibly thinking about was a "add on plate" fastened below the base of the transom adaptor , Also Super jet made a kit years ago that included a bolt on ride plate adjustable bridge and related pieces similar to the pic below , I recently removed on of theses kits from a berkeley application similar to the old SJ

    Default Ya know.....

Ya know Tom, I need to come see you, well, just to come see you...... Drag Greg out for an afternoon/evening, and just hang out, swap lies, and check out your new CNC equipment, that I'm sure you've purchased by now....
