My pictures from last year sucked. My digi cam had a dead battery and I used my video cam for stills (lousy stills).

I'll be there this year for sure with my digi cam fully charged.

I would love to make that run down there for it. 655 miles for a weekend is a tough one though. I'll have to try to talk the wife into it if the boats still running. Hoping to get it back in the water this weekend. Just a few more things to put together.

I am curious as to what is classified as a "Classic boat"?
There must be some sort of criteria?
    Thanks,

If there are criteria, it's not something that would prevent anyone from going. Lots of different boats all shapes and sizes from day cruisers to flatties and pretty much everything in between.

So what is this lake like? Do you need 4WD to launch, etc? Does the wind pick up? Chop? Can you do speed runs?

Looks like it could be a good time...

it is one of the better lakes in az,yes you can do speed runs.there are boat launches there or you can launch from shore.4wd is better to have but if not we can get you out if you get stuck.

When Bartlett isn't full, its the 2nd best lake in AZ. It has sandy beaches in a few areas. Its not the river. Early morning runs are the best. Smooth glass. V-drives, Jets and Cruisers of all shapes & sizes have made a showing.

If you have 4 wheel drive you can launch & camp right on the beach. If you don't mind the noise from Bill & Sampica starting there PSI blown engines. I like it and encourage it.

Its wild how we have all these lakes in our PHX metro area. Pleasant, Bartlett, Saguaro, Canyon, Apache & Roosevelt. all within a few hours. I don't count Horseshoe.

Do you need to make reservations to camp? If this is still happening, I'm in!

No reservations needed. You do need a Tonto State Forrest window hanger deal and boat sticker (pass)
to put in your window of your tow vehicle for each day you're there. You can buy them in Cave Creek
(last little town on the way to Bartlett) at the Circle K stores. I think they're $11 a day and they will be
checking for them. Camping may be a little crowded this year as the lake is 98% full. That's what Cave
was eluding to in his above post. Bartlett is great when it's at about 80% or so. Not many places along
the shore to camp/launch when it's completely full like it is now.
