    Default Pump Questions

I have a 93 Advantage 20.5 with an AT pump droop snoop Place diverter and ride plate. My boat comes out of the hole nice and planes fine. I GPS the boat a few weeks ago at 57.4MPH at 6100RPM. Here is the problem RPM's too high. So I need to blue print the pump. What does the HTR after the A on the pump tag mean? Does anyone know if this is a SS or aluminum impeller? I am turning 4000+ pulling a wake board. Any advise ???

HTR is High thrust Reverse, check out AT's web site for pics.
I agree your RPM's are too high for that size boat.

either your pump is worn out or someone installed a B or C cut
    impeller.

I would rebuild it and go back with a A impeller, HP
    will dictate Aluminum or stainless

if it has a B you may actually lose a few MPH, but will cruise
    and pull skiers ect. better.

any idea what HP you have?

You didn't mention HP but assuming your tach is correct and you do actually have an "A" impeller ,your RPMs are clearly high (should be closer to 5k + or-) The speed is actually realistic for a 20.5 ft boat, Not sure why your boat has a Droop ? Often time droops got used to make use of PD's on AT and Dom jets . I belive you would be happier with a standard nozzle adaptor More info here will help Tom

The stock rated HP was 390 But I have done a number of mods. I am guessing maybe 450hp. It's a 454 Indmar, added MSD, Intake, Demon 850. It rides nice just RPM's and maybe I'll gane some speed with blue print.

Thanks Tom, I will have to pull the pump apart to make sure it is an A impeller.
