The loader works in relation to the bottom of the boat and can make MPH and can build bottom end. That all depends on how the loader works with the bottom and the motor. If you want to post pics then do it with the loader in the boat from the front looking back as close to the bottom of the boat as possible and then from the back looking forward. A loader with to much bite will drop rpm and make the bottom end of the boat better. Aloader with minimal bite will raise rpm and help on the top end. This a drastic statement but it's bottom line. Fine tuning a loader to the bottom is an art and takes time on the water. Off the shelf loaders are a general starting point. Mark

If the boat leaves hard and doesn't blow a whole in the water on take off the pump sounds fairly solid. From the rpm you are stating, sounds pretty good. FYI the early jc pumps flowed 72 gph and the newer stuff flowed 68 gph. Good luck this weekend!!! M

How do you know if you have an early pump or a newer pump? Can you tell by looking at the serial # on the top of the pump?

    Thanks.

I just went out and looked at the tag and the Serial# is 7558948. And the BM# is 6470. And it is stamped as a Model 12JC-A. But I had an AB impeller installed a few years ago.

    Thanks.

I do not know your HP - Less HP more Blocker as HP go up the blocker is opened up. (On Ramped Loaders) Ski- River Loaders have just 2 angle ramps comming down work great unless you start getting in Bigger HP. Good Luck!
