...to push my boat into the low 80s? Currently I'm running a 1978 Marlin Tigershark...basically a Tahiti splash. Motor is a BBC, 9.5:1, RPM Air Gap manifold, Holley 750dp, MSD ignition, Isky 280H mega cam, Bassett OT headers with slip in baffles. Pump is a Berkeley w/American Turbine split bowl, bronze shouldered wear ring, American Turbine AB impeller and front clearance set at 0.035". Aggressor droop w/2* down wedge and Place Diverter. White Lightning loader w/7" blocker, no shoe, no ride plate.
Currently I'm hitting 79mph @ 5400RPM. Tried to play with the diverter to get that extra 1mph but 79 was it. That was with one tank full (12 gallon tanks) and the other about 1/2 full.
Adding a shoe/ride plate is not an option.
What other mods can I do to push her to say...82?
Also...what can I do to recover my hole shot. Would an inducer help?
