    Default Skag rapair??

Hey guys whats the best way to repair the skags that hang down from the intake? Looks like its molded into my boat. Let my girlfriend drive this weekend and she drove up onto a rock pile. Thanks again RiverDad!! for towing me into the marina. Doesnt look like there is much material gone, might just reshape it with a grinder. What is the purpose of the skags, and how critical are they? Impellers done, time for a stainless!

Ok now before anybody nails me on this......"JIM" We just picked it up sunday. We did not do what you are about to see..

Hillbilly is an understatement , temp fix at best. if you'rs are not to bad just hit them with a grinder. We have all done that at one time or another..

Ratt if the fins are "chongered" a little you'll be OK to grind and reshape them but if broken away I would recommend removeing the intake and replacing it or repairing it call if you need help Tom

thanks guys. yeah its not that bad. I should of took some pics. I cant believe somebody bolted those new ones on that boat you bought. Only the front of mine are chewed. I was just curious if the boat would perform differently if they werent the same shape. Tom I might need some stuff from you, do you have any used split bowls. When I replace the impeller, I want to do everything.
