    Default Worth it?

Found a guy selling some calgo stuff, he says the units or a jetboat but he only has the steering box, cables and cable adjusters. He wants 100 bucks. I asked him for pics. This a good deal? Also does calgo have a website?

You will still need a tillar arm for the dual cables, cable housing, steering post for either a 6" or 9" depending on the post lenght on the box, heim joints & copper cable clamps. Rex should be able to get everything. I know he has new billet steering posts, I just got one. Not sure on how much to go thru it

You need a special steering arm and they are expensive. Hawiianjet had one for sale a while back and I think Cyclone also had one for sale.
$100 I think is worth it .Just make sure it is infact a jet set up if that is what You intend on using it in. On a jet ,both cables exit the hub on the same side. On a v-drive set up they exit each side.
I bought a used Calgo a while back and paid a hundred, only it turned out to be a v-drive set up and worthless to Me.It will probobly go to the spam or ebay soon.
If it does not workout for You I would be intrested.
Also they do not have a web site. But Rex can get it taken care of for You....Hal

This is a modified place set-up to work with the Calgo. Excuse the orange stuff, Long Beach was rough on it.

Talked to the guy tonight, it's for sure the jet style. He actually got it off a guy here on the forums, i guess on hotboat the guys name was nutfutz? or somthing like that, sounds fermiliar. He's getting ride of it because he drove a boat with a calgo setup and didnt like how touchy/sensitive the steering was. I've never used a calgo setup, but i hate the amount of play i have in my teleflex rack/pinion setup... just feels unsafe to me. I'm going to snag it from him, i guess lets hope i like the calgo feel

Shaun That Guy would be NukinFuts on HotBoat .He goes by Futs here on performance boats. He is the one that has the blue Southwind Tunnel Dragster.
You will hear people on both sides of the fence about the calgo.
There is absouloutly no slop in the calgo which makes it a sensitive and precice steering sytem...Hal
