    Can tell from the picture, can you identify the brand typically printed on the actual cable jacket (Morse ,Teleflex etc)

    It turns but it seems like the pictured gear is stripped unfortunately not one part number anywhere!

    I replaced my whole steering deal, It was cheaper than parts.
    Believe Nothing you hear and 1/2 of what you see.

    That's a Command 290, its was superseded by the Teleflex Safe-t. Don't believe the Teleflex helm is backwards compatible with the Morse cable though. Either the Telflex or the Uflex systems are direct replacements for the entire setup.

    It's on a 94 Lavey..do you know the part# for the teleflex I should look for and is it necessary to replace the cable as well?

    Why are those such pieces of sloppy crap that you have to buy a whole new box? Mine has a ton of play also. Was going to take it apart, but it doesn't look like there is anything to fix.
