if it has the Marine Power serial #
they should be able to tell you the HP rating.
I dont think a block and /or head # will give you the HP of an engine

    Exclamation

Are you asking about the block # or the head #??? Head # is under valve covers, block # is on back of block, above flywheel.

If you're asking about the block #, I wasn't able to find a 1011482, but I did find a 10114182. And it says 454......91-up.......4-bolt, Gen. V. And the closest thing I was able to find (to what you posted) in the head #'s was 10114156, and it said 91-up.....oval.....open......Gen. V & VI 454, 118cc chamber.

    Hope this helps.

that was the block number, my dad read it to me over the phone so that extra "1" was probably left out. the model is J4545-CAL, serial is 15806, it lists another block number which is TO3245XYB. but marine power doesnt seem to have an active web site right now? hasnt had one for the few weeks ive been searching...

welp i have the oval port heads so that means 340hp 454, now i need to figure out for sure if this motor has the forged parts like the 390hp 454 does. I know it has flat pistons which gives me a lot of options, unless they are cast then i have a whole lot more work to do then i was hoping.
