    Default Ebay Marine 454

Anybody ever buy one of these.... Wow a five year warranty with cast pistons?

It must be for a larger boat that does not turn high rpm's

That extra paint on the back side of the cam helps keep the cam from walking as far plus adds 10hp I heard. Hahahahaha

    BEWARE!!!!!!

My engine came from eBay, and you've seen how much trouble that I've had out of it. And that one does not look like a good one!!!!!!! The ports in those heads are tiny!!!!!!

    IMO, keep looking!!!

There are a lot of cheap reman engines around, not just on ebay. Good luck on the warranty if something breaks though. You would have to prove to them that it was their assembly skills and not your install skills that caused it...

But on that note, I've had OK luck with reman engines before...keep in mind these arent performance engines...

how radical of an engine are you looking for ? im selling my v-drive turn key or seperate the motor from the boat .. i have a mild beast that unless your jet pump is built alil its gonna be too much motor for a stock jet pump .. turns my v-drive with 18% gears to 7000 rpm . its a well built motor and reliable ... but then again its not a Pump Gas motor its 13to1 CR .. if your looking for a nice motor we can talk but its not cheap i spent a4round 16-17K into the motor and looking to get 7K out of it ... its a 454 .070 over .. its a 1970 Chevelle/corvette 4 bolt passenger block full roller solid cam fordged pistons blah blah blah ... was built by a guy that use to work as a top fuel funny car drag pit mech and was sponsored by Kendall oil who has his own machine shop here in n.cal ..anyway if you like more info on it let me know .. this was also set up for a lake boat not all out drag racing
