if you're goin electronic ignition, you can buy a 1984 460bbf truck dizzy and use it. they have great mag pickups in them and a good advance, they're bout 75 bucks from the parts store. you'll have to run a msd box on it though.

I would look into D.u.i distrubuters - based off of a chevy h.e.i built for a ford -- One wire No coil, No problems will spin to 6500 rpm

whatever you do, do not buy one of the msd look alikes off fo ebay I think they are pro comps .. I have a buddy who tried them and two of them broke the pin that holds the dist. gear and it fell off ... no joke both of the pieces of crap he bought did the same thing ,, he finally bought a msd billett and has had no problems good luck

At the shop, in these applications, we like MSD ready to run units. You only need your coil and no box is neccesary. Stay away from that chinese crap, it cost one of our customers a lot of money to find out what was wrong with his bargain basement import unit. Joe Shelfo Sr.
