There were 16 boats on one side of the ladder and 8 on the other, just curious why.

    Chris,

I had that same question. The only person who could answer that question is the program designer, Craig Franklin.

I think his phone # is at the bottom of the et slips

Sorry, I do not have the answer.

But if you look at the number of pairs, the format is for 32 pairs.

It's a 32 boat/vehicle field page ... same way they start in NHRA during qualifications ... I've seen larger a Vegas Motor Speedway in the tower during national events.

The computer pairs according to qualification placing.

    Crazy looking huh?

    100 points for qualifying
50 points for every round you win
    10 points for #1 qualifier
    5 points for #2 qualifier

5 points if you set a MPH record*
5 points if you set an ET record*

    * Records need to be approved by the board at the next meeting following a race

Final points are to be submitted to the board during the December board meeting for approval (to verify the high points winners and apply and additional record points that might have been run during a November race if one was held).

    Hope that answers any questions.

The ladder does seem to be a bit odd.
