Default Anyone know this Jagermeister Tahiti?

A buddy called me about this boat, I always get skeptical of approx HP ratings especially with claims above 400hp. I also don't know much about later model Tahiti's, so I told him I'd ask if anyone here knew about this ride. Are these hulls decent? Full stringer? Issues to watch for? Thanks

600hp 19ft all custom jet boat. make an offer - $7500 (marysville)

Wanting to sell my 1988 tahiti jet boat, moving soon and I don't want to drive it cross country. It has a built Chevy 468 stroker with forged pistons, built heads, runs strong, aprx 600 hp. Has custom jagermeister paint job, and new 4 speaker stereo with blutooth head unit. Nice newly refinished hardwood flooring, and black leather seats. Berkley jet drive, hydraulic diverter. nice aluminum dual axle trailer. I only took it out once this year and maybe 5 times the year before. have title to boat and trailer in hand. please text or email before calling. $7.5k obo open to trades. 7 0 6 - 3 3 2 - 8 1 1 1. really need to sell. Moving soon

That's an interesting boat! Definitely wouldn't touch it with out a very close inspection. A few things you don't normally see in a West Coast jet boat is "wood floors and leather seats." It looks like someone took some seats out of a little mini van or something. I agree with you on not believing anybodies H.P. rating with out documentation, assume it's a bone stock, worn out, 2 bolt BBC unless they can prove different. As far as the hull, they are another splash of Southwind I believe, not sure if it's full stringer or not, but doubt it. Tahiti boats are decent if the price is right, and for me that price would be around 3000.00 give or take a couple bucks. JMO. good luck

I'm with ICM on this one. Ugh. Black leather seats. Those things are going to be insanely hot and hard to maintain. Could be a nice ride but I have seen nicer for $7500.

    I didn't know that a 468 was considered a stroker. So what is a 350? A 327 with a stroker?

Trailer does not look like an aluminum one. It looks like an older Competitive Trailer with the formed channel.

Looks like a WA state plate on the trailer, if it came from the PNW I bet Tony Skagen would know some thing.

I see a couple good things and a couple not so good.

Split bowl pump with hydraulic diverter and stainless lines - good.

    Top mount starter - good

It's pretty darned clean so guessing he took care of it - good

The trailer looks pretty decent and it's tied down w/cover - good

Seats with low rollbar and floor (what's hiding under the floor) - not so good

It's painted like a Jagermeister ad (somebody donk'd the freakin thing) - not so good

I agree with the others that the price is too high - not so good

Saw that boat running around CFW couple years ago. From what I remember, he was running it in circles all day with the tail up. Seemed like it was running ok back then. The interior looks a little off, none of it really looks like it was intended to be in a boat.
