Default Water Level; Aha / Twin Palms

Usually camp at Parker. Been to blythe. Want to check out twin palms area. Hows the water? Can you leave your boat inn. (have motorhome)? Like Parker, camping on the water. Tired of not seeing any small fast boats. Want to try something new. Do not know river in that area. Sand Bars, Rock bars, What time water comes up? Any help would be appreciated. Going thursday to saturday or sunday till tuesday.
    Thanks Bob

Bob, That area is pretty easy to read, you just need to be careful when you start heading down river(away from Twin Palms) . If you start heading that way it would be best to have a boat to follow, for the first time. Up river, to the lagoon is easy, and between the jettys toward Water Wheel is deep, you will see the sandbars in the middle. Have fun, its a great stretch of river for your boat. You happened to pick a NJBA race weekend though, so there won't be as many cool boats out there as mormal.

Hopefully AV137 comes on a talks about twin palms, AV137 keeps atrailer there and they pull it out and put him on a waterfront spot when he goes. It is a great stretch of river. Thursday and friday are usualy the lowest days sunday monday seem to be the highest. water goes down in early mourning then starts coming back up after noon (usually) . You will always see people on the river this time of year should be easy to follow there path down river, up river is easy until you start getting up around water wheel . I can run a boat year round you should be fine. There is usually always a group of people up around the corner from AHA that people hang out drink, fish and throw shoes. Would be a good place to check out.

I was at Twin Palms last weekend. We only saw 3 or 4 other boats on the river besides us all weekend. Water level didnt change all that much and I did see some boats left in the water.

We were out last weekend and the water was low, but usable. We actually launched at Lost Lake so I could show the family the area that held the CP regata this year. I actually had to pull the boat upriver knee high with a rope for about a 1/4 mile to get to the beach along the river. There was no way to get into the back water.
The Aha lagoon water level was about a foot lower then the last concrete block on the launch ramp. Typically we stay around the Aha Quin lagoon and sandbar with water that low.
Going again this weekend hoping for a bit more water. Wasnt going up till I remembered I forgot to close the blinds in one of the bedrooms. Damn just got to go close them. I plan on not rolling up the hose this next trip so I need to go back the weekend of the 25th as well.

    Bob,

We will be there this weekend. Most likely be up river from Aha. Stop by if you see us and I am sure we can take a run up and down the river to show you the sand and rock bars. Boat is pictured in my signature and is named "Gotta Go" We usually get on the water around noon.

Hi Bob. If you get a chance, come up toward Lost Lake. 2 of us will be there Friday, Saturday and Sunday seating rings on 2 engines(2 CP 18's, both BBF's). We'll look for you if you're out there. Have a good weekend in any case.
