    Default B hi-helix ?

I am turning a A hi-helix at 5500 rpm, changing induction system, want to get motor rpm up to 6200-6300. according to a B HI-HELIX hp. chart I would be at the 6200 mark. can I get my A cut down with no ill effects or do I need to buy a B impeller ??

Try impeller after you have made your motor changes. See what rpm it turns, then cut it down if needed.

Cutting it down to a "B" will only give you like 200 more rpm.

Unless you gain some HP by doing it. Then it would pick up more than 200 RPM. (and I think it will).

Like said above; try it with the new induction set up and then decide what to do.

And in answer to your original question, yes, it can be cut without any ill effects.
