    Default Hull Tag

I'm not quite sure where the hull tag is, where would I find it? Is it the license sticker? Here's my boat it's a 1970 19 foot Shuster Tahiti Torino. Just wondered where the tag is. I read here that it's supposed to give the maximum hp rating for the hull design.

    Thanks
    Rick

Rick, the ID tag should be in plain sight on the inside of the gunnel near the shift control.

Post some more shots will you and why on earth would you not put it in the ocean?

I did a search on CL and there's one for sale in riverside minus the windshield. On this one the tag is on the other side , you can just see it in the pic to the right of the stereo. Call him and get the info?

Not the ocean, at the bay, yes in salt water. I would never take it to the ocean tho because it sits so low in the water. Im very diligent about rinsing and flushing it out. El capitan reservoir charges too much money to go in the lake, plus it's a good jaunt out there. I see you are in S.D too. We run at ski beach and sail bay.

Beautiful Picture thanks old Rigger, yes they are ugly without the windshield. My windshield has 2 cracks running up on either side, I drilled a hole at the end of each crack to stop them from running further! Im trying like hell to save that windshield cause it's beautiful with it, and I'll play hell trying to find another one.... I'll look for that tag too.

I'm almost 100% certain that Wayne Earl in Placentia still offers the Tarino windshields. If not them it's the guy in Az who's name I can't remember right now. At any rate, there's 2 sizes, the wide one like yours and the narrow that fits on the smaller 16 and 18 Tarinos.

Here's a couple more pictures of it, I just pulled out the seats and all, time for new carpet! I just rebuilt my Berkeley jet pump myself in November, the 454 only has 20 hrs on it too, rebuilt it 3 years ago. Put a new 870 Holley on it last year, get's me about 60 mph...... The family loves it. You can see the original color where the seats used to sit, gonna take some doing to get that back, it's so faded Im not sure I'll ever get it....Money is slow, so one thing at a time. And the seats are all cracked but not ripped, all original....needs reupholstered. Hey do you think a scoop would do me any good with the engine sitting that low under the windshield? It sits about 7 feet back from it... Do they make a riser to set the scoop up higher?
