I have a straight with 4* pin. Works better with the bolt on shoe/plate set at 3* up. I tried it by itself and was okay till the plate combo. I have a heavy 18' spectra with a 2" longer bowl(aggressor 9 vane)...putting the thrust out that far has helped out performance overall.

Duane's HTP snoot and shoe/plate combo. He was extremely helpful as well with info and instructions.
