Default please help anyone ever work for Tahiti boats

okay so I bought a 1979 Tahiti super Tiger jet boat and they painted over the hin number today when I went to register and title the boat they want me to try to track down any paperwork on it like he said find who has the molds and the factory paperwork or find out if tahiti did hidden HIN numbers on their boats also if anybody has a to Tahiti super Tiger or tiger jet can you post pictures of where your HIN is at so I can find out if I can sand down my HIN area and see if I can find those numbers underneath the paint I hope I didn't get screwed on buying this boat. oh and can you measure exactly how far down and how far in your VIN number is how far why and how tall so I know exactly where to sand at

Looks like a pretty boat! HIN #'s are on the top port side of the transom. Might not have to sand it down unless it was sanded smooth before paint. Try a charcoal or pencil etching before breaking out the sander.
