Default Njba Race's At Lake Elsinore

just wanted to see what people thought about,, if njba had a race there next year...

    1. would you attended the event..

    2.would you enter the event..

3.would you get involved to help put on the event..

    4. would you be interested to help sponsor said event..

I'm not involved with NJBA, other then a member and racer..not on the board , just wanted to see what kind of support is out there, to show them its worth the effort to make it happen... the more people talk about it / the more it can happen..

    1. would you attended the event.. NOPE

2.would you enter the event.. I would throw rocks at them

3.would you get involved to help put on the event.. I would watch from my boat at the bouy line so I wouldn't have to pay to get in.

    4. would you be interested to help sponsor said event.. I will donate the rocks.

Come on. There has been effort going into making the event happen for the last couple years. I would do everything I could. I would be willing to bet that some rental agencies would donate reach lifts for launching and recovering boats and I have a shoring company that would most likely donate plates to stabilize the banks and provide traction. The intrest on here is known and we know that many others outside the boating comunity would show up as well. If we could do a camping deal like bayfair the club would do amazingly but just getting the army to sign off and the city is the hard part.

I dont think there would be a problem except for the noise, with the construction of the new apartments right by the channel, and some of the other businesses, but that could be left up to the board members, as said before i have access to storage 5 minutes away, and have a relative that lives there and knows alot of council members. I have been there with a survey crew and laid out 2 different ways to race, and being close to alot of racers down here i'm sure this can happen, heck anytime you bring money to a city its good, now on the down side the people from up north could make it hard for them, but lowering gas prices can help, the stadium parking lot would be a great place to pit and the way the channel is you will be able to see the whole race!!!! for everyone great for spectators

I live 45 minutes away , and would be willing to help out any way I can. It would be nice to not have to drive 5+ hours to see a boat drag race.

I would love to see it, I gaurantee I would haul the trailer out to camp. The city's whole philosophy is now guided towards extreme sports (skydiving, motocross track, etc). The lake is another issue and I don't know if it would make a great venue for racers.

I like the Puddingstone idea. Why has that venue never been used after the IHBA left? There must be some reason because that seemed like a much more suitable venue. There's plenty of spectator room, nice in/out ramps, good view from the shore, and a campground right there. Seems like a no brainer so I know there must be some hidden reason. Cost? I don't remember any homes real close to the lake. I think the club would draw much more money from spectators willing to stay the whole weekend.

puddingstone is a $$$ issue and noise issue. they want a ton of $$$ to rent the lake.
elsinore is still a possibility and i'll keep you guys posted on any developments there. thanks for the interest and offers to help. if it ever does happen, the njba will need all they help it can get.
