    Default Rogers Dragstar or ???

Thinking about buying one if I can find a decent one without engine.

What do you know about them? I've read everything already posted here and like what I've learned.

I got interested in installing all the good stuff in my Rogers Bonneville into a Dragstar. Looks like I would pick up considerable quickness. My Bonneville does 95mph with a stock intake no ride plate or shoe. The next step with my Bonneville would bring the possible chine walk that I don't want to experience and from what I've read the Dragstar is flat in the back so it won't.

I found one in Hesperia which is a long drive and the owner seems off. He has several boats for sale. I can't get him to talk to me and the texts seem off to so I figure this one is out. His ad says no rot, but the text says needs stringers. His ad is also suspect as he did some research on the hull and copied it into his ad. I'm not interested in any boat that needs stringers.

Thought I would pose the question here.

I owned one, my first jet boat, let me tell u mine seem to need a lot of power to keep it from proposing, it had a handle and override pedal for the cav plates and had a handle for the place diverter, a lot of shit going on for a first boat deal... I had a 396 BBC in it, maybe 400hp and the only way I could keep the boat from proposing was to have the cav plates all the way down "dragging" causing the boat to go slower. It was also a horrible boat in the chop.
I would assume with more power it would fix a lot of issues I had with it..
    This is just my expearance.

    Thanks

Good point I appreciate the first hand experience.

Open to ideas of other hulls.

Default I would be haggeling a deal.

That would be "Hustler" Ron in the High Desert. He knows his way around boats and does pretty well selling parts and hulls. It's a safe bet he payed next to nothing for that hull. He lurks CL like the rest of us.
    Good luck Ron...!

Thanks for your input. My experience with this guy so far has me NOT doing business with him. Shady dude with lousy business skills.
