    Default Tachometer failure

So I was out at the lake and my tach started showing 3000 RPM at Idle. The engine was idling perfect. Is there an adjustment on the tachs, possibly one of the kids good have bumped it? or is it just time for a new one? Any thoughts?

Could be a bad ground wire or connection.

Some Tachs have "dip" switches on the back for different cylinder selections not likely but maybe got bumped ? Tom
