    Default 12JC split bowl

Someone asked me yesterday what I thought a converted 12JC split bowl was worth and I told him I really don't know. I know I've sold JG and JB bowls for $300 - $350. So... ... what would YOU pay for a 12JC converted split bowl if you were in the market? Thanks

Depends on who did the conversion and the condition of the bowl. I'm sure some in the know will post up here, but I think it would be worth at least 350-400 if it was done correctly and its in good shape... I've been told it should outflow a G or B bowl. Anybody?

They have longer vanes, than the G/B bowls, to gain the benifit that the converted bowl has, you would need to buy a newer bowl design. More than a G bowl, but more along the lines of a used late model Dominator or Aggressor bowl would go for.

I have the conversion on my boat, considering the price to convert it i would say at least $400 if the bowl is in good shape. I remember back in the day on HB chet and hbjet went at it about this conversion for a while, they were arguing about why you would do this conversion compared to purchasing i think a agressor split bowl. I want to say this agressor bowl was in the $500 range (dont hold me to that), so it would have to be more than the cost of the conversion but less than the agressor bowl

I've got access (for a reasonable price) to some used good used condition 12JC bowls, I have a well seasoned welder with killer equipment offering me his servies (his idea actually), and he and I are just wondering what the market would bear for such a piece (12JC split bowl). The welder's welds have been thoroughly tested through years of off road abuse and I have no doubt of his skills. It's sounding like a $400 price tag is about what you guys are thinking which is about what I was guessing also. I think I should use my boat for the first one... at least that way if they didn't sell I'd have one for my boat.

ya know they were doing a test with bowls in HotBoat with AMT and Aggressor and never got to the end of the test.I was told that Aggressor said if they put the results up that TPR WOULD LOOSE THERE hook up with Aggressor.
I was waiting to see the out come in the next issue and it never went any farther

Maybe there was some truth to that possibility of TPR loosing the Agressor hook-up resulting in the story never getting finished... ?
