TPR Stealth, GS Marine 19 Tunnel, cheyenne, etc... I always see these boats with no back seat... Is it not possible to fit one? As much as i love these boats, i need a back seat, even if it's not comfirtable.... :D

when i get home and post a pic, you can see the room you can have if you decide to go that route, anyone that owns a tunnel will get right behind me and say the same, "there is no other ride in that length of boat on the market!
If they say other, they are either full of ***** have not driven a tunnel, i trully never thought i would say that about a boat!...and a 21' is even more comfy!...but still fun to drive!

Assuming you're talking about 19' tunnels, it's not practical. You can put the front seats so that the driver and passenger's legs and feet are under the deck, move the engine back as far as it will go, and then have enough room for a back seat where children can sit. IMO

This pic showed here was taken when i had the injection unit in the boat, when i was able to remove the cam driven fuel pump, it free'd up about 5 or so inches to move the back seat back, that is where i was able to fig larger human beings, like Big Jim Dodd.
Is this the pic Rod was referring to?

Funny thing is, i might actually use that helmet someday for something other than Local carting tracks! LOL
I really had a plan this past year to try out the whole NJBA deal, but with everything else going to hell, it kinda put anything and everything on the back burner, maybe next time!:p

Lilke i said, dont really care if they are comfirtable, mainly it's for the kido's and they dont need as much room as the adults.

You guys have these long steering helms, and set the fronts way back. Why? is this a getting tossed precausion or is there just not room to get your legs alittle bit further under the hull?

You don't want your legs further under the hull if it goes over. Your best bet is to be thrown free as quickly as possible and not get tangled up in the dash, etc.

forward/reverse pedal
The pic was taken this last spring at a show out at the high octane performance expo in @ California raceway in Fontana, with Concept marine, the helmet i had and figured i would just paint it to match the boat, wanted to try the boat out sooner or later, dont know when, as its not a priority of mine, i would much rather watch everyone else, less stressful environment on the back of a beach cruiser IMO!:D
Good luck and have fun/be safe at NJBA in 09' Shawn!

More times than not I wish my 21 Daytona was a 22 or even better a 25 footer. One thing I don't care for with my 21 is the freeboard or lack there of...bad enough I feel like I'm sitting on the boat vs in it...I rode in a 19 Daytona once >quick little boat but I felt like I was sitting on top of the deck.

Todd, i just love racing, always have. Now that i've done alittle bit of river racin i'm hooked. THis could change at the track but i highly doubt that :)

Forward and Reverse huh, never seen that before. Do you have reverse with that setup? Why did you go that route, any advantages from a race stand point, maybe a quick release that forces the bucket up?

I saw it on a daytona back when i was a kid @ puddingstone, and kinda thought about it when i mentally started putting a parts list together for the new boat, i dont like a dash' riddled with instruments, so i figured i would try to start with eliminating the fwd/rev lever on the left, did not like it on the floor between my legs, then i remembered the boat from back in the day, but could'nt remember how it was done, or ever realy knew how to do it, so Tommy, Bry and i thought about it over some cocktails:D and then John Cogan form Concept Marine and I built it after Tommy's passing, it works real nice, and i can have both my hands on the wheel, John im sure will make another one if anyone is interested, its not cheap, but to me, well worth it!
One trip out and i will not install another hand lever if i can ever help it, its like second nature!
...as for any race advantages?..."Im sure it would help out in a race scenerio, it frees up a hand!" but i would'nt know, have not been able to get off my beach cruiser! lol

i had a back seat for my daytona, a normal adult could sit behind the pass. but there was only about 4-6" between drivers seat and back seat, i am 6'6" and 265lbs, i needed to move the sear back, and could have gone the rest of the way back to actually be very comfortable, pics don't really show how tight it is.
