Default guy from germany wanting my tx19

i've got this guy from germany on me about buyin the tx19 and he's having it shipped to germany. 1st thing i thought was scammer, but i go and check out his feedback on ebay, sob has bought several 15k+ hotrod cars over the past 6months and got great feedback on the deals. 1 nice corvette from az sold for 17k , so i emailed them, asked how the deal went, everything was great they said. they had their $$$ in hand 1 month before the shipping company came for the car. its been 4months and everything is still good, the corvette seller says its was a very smooth transaction. what's yalls take on it? scam , sure sounds like it but the dude's feedback and everything are lining up as a square deal. i emailed another seller on ebay that he bought a nice 66 mustang from in san antonio tx., see wtf they have to say other than the great feedback they gave the guy.

normally i wouldn't dick with this deal, but with the economy the way it is, chit ain't selling well around here, i've had this tx19 alot longer than i expected too

Dare to be different, if it turns out great you can claim you planned it that way.

that's what i was wondering. so i checked into those cars he bought, well i checked the seller's feedback, they come across as square dealers. so i checked into the stuff they were buyin, and so forth, so on. can't see the scam in the scam i guess i've herd germans are buyin up hotrods since they can snag em up cheap right now and still be able to ship em. i'll tell him to fedex me 10.5k cash, we'll call it good

I sold a guy in England a engine and that is what I was wondering about being a scam but it was not. I got my $$$$$ and a month later it was picked up by a shipping company and it was gone. The dealing I had went great. Hope it works as well for you.

    here's his ebay profile

    http://myworld.ebay.com/paliastra?ss...:X:CEM:US:1181

here's the feedback i keep getting from peeps that sold him stuff:

NO BULL...This guy is VERY Ligit. He paid thru paypal on the deposit and wire transfered me the remaining cash to my bank of america account. The guy is very wealthy. I would highly recommend. He was cool to work with and my transaction with him went very smooth. no problemo

Just because that ebay account has great feed back doesnt mean it's there account!

Other then that dont really know what you would/could do. Maybe there's some type of company that acts as a middle man for oversea deals like this to ensure that the funds are legit and nobody is screwed? Like a escrow company or somthing?

i have 2 tire kickers coming saturday , i'm hope'n they work out.this german deal is the best looking scam i've seen yet if its a scam. i emailed him and said if he could wire the cash to my local bank, and the bank says its all good, we could deal. how could he get 1 by the bank and them not catch it right away or within the month? if i haven't gotten it sold by dec., i need to get busy making it faster/quicker for next season

If it's being done with wire transfer, I'd say go for it. Check with your bank and have them setup an account to receive the transfer into, and once the money is there, transfer it out and into your account. Don't give the guy your account number, which is pretty much common sense, but I have heard of people doing it and then having the transfer reversed, and then some.

It's the cashier's checks and money order scams that you have to look out for these days.

thanx for the advise. he mentioned wiring the money right to my bank, didn't ask for account info, but i thought it was strange if it were a scam. scammers usually don't wanna get a bank involved.

I ship overseas all the time. And I know they are buying up cars right and left.
Get paid, get the payment cleared, tuck money under the pillow, wait one day and then ship it.

just got a email from him, he wants to get r done if the boat isn't too wide to fit in a container he said he called the shipping company in houston and they said he had 7ft 8 in to work with, and that if they could pull the wheels and fenders off to make it fit, they'd do so.

how can i check this out? set up a new account at the bank with NO money of mine in it? how would my bank be able to tell if the funds are legit?

    latest email from german:

    Hello Tom,

Thank you very much for your answer.

I have shipped cars from Houston and LA and I think your location is closer to Houston.

Please let me know the dimensions so I can ask Horizon Auto services in Houston because I discussed the issue earlier with my shipper CFR in Paramount La.

    Thanks
