    Question Tahiti 18" 1974 Hull type Wanted!

    Who ownes a similar Hull? Check out the pictures...

    Could you guys give me some information about this exact type of hull model,

    What would a similar (used) hull cost, with or without interior/engine, good condition?

    which other manufactories made these jet boats?

    Pics are welcome!!! Any Info and if u know a similar hull, or complete jetboat with that hull for sale, let me know pls

    did you mention where you are located ? anyway there is a boat similar to this one, same inappropriate seats, sitting out on 395, Bridgeport, ca.

    I think No Butt No Putt is a Southwind. Call Tom at Jetboat performance. I know he's shipped boat hulls all over tarnation.

    Southwind Tahiti charger challenger anthony dimarco Hondo crusader kachina and the list goes on. These are all the same style hulls of the 70's. they all look the same with very minor changes in the transom portion or the rear deck side.

    does anyone know who was first to build it, or payed to have the boat designed, the plug & mold made. So then (almost) every boat shop in socal could & did splash it ?

    In that configuration (deck style) Southwind was the first. I think they used a Esquire to build the plug Don't know this as fact but thats what I remember the story being. One of the most splashed model out there and still a great looking boat today.

    You are correct. it was made from the esquire 20 and cut and chopped to the 18

    Esquire was its own boat company with a few partners that didn't see eye to eye, that's when southwind was started in the late 60's and my gradpa bought the company
