They threatened Promods with $$ or point penalty at Wheatland if they didnt make the turn into the outramp cove. That might have something to do with it. I can see Wheatland going 1000' permanently. Also this year started qualifying 1 round on Friday because of weather at every event the rest of this year.

We didn't T&T at San Angelo because T&T for 100.00 was all day and now 1/2 day or less so they can get in 1 round of qualifying. And still didnt get every class 1 round on Friday.

    I don't have a problem with 1000' I enjoy it.

Would also go for a 660 heads up class.

I can understand it for the fast boats for safety but I think it would suck for us slower guys. I'm a 10 second boat so I would either have to slow it down to run 8s or really step it up to run 7s I like running the 1/4 mile. I'm not sure if this will come to all boat races or if this is just a safety deal for Havasu.

I think it is more of a safety thing for Havi, but I like the idea of 1000'. can't wait to run it. Lucas has been toying with the idea of going to 1000' for every class. My opinion is the race is over at 1000' foot anyways.

Pits on the baseball field??? That's lame. I agree with Tim though, the water conditions get a little rough on the big end at that track. I hit 3 big rollers right at 800 ft last race.

We raced our Dragstar in Purcell and The Cove 9 sec class. The Orange boat at Purcell and The Cove 8 sec class.

Honestly it didn't make much difference to us vs 1/4 mile.

They are doing this in Havasu only.
