    Default Bob Van Pelt?

Does anyone know anything about him? A good friend of mine just came upon a really nice Rogers with a big Chevy in it built by Van Pelt, he asked if I knew of him. Anybody?

    Default Van Belt

Bob was boat racer from northern Calif.Ran a few jet boats and flatbottoms with NDBA and IHBA. Had a boat shop but I can't remember in what city.Stand up guy and a good engine builder. I can also remember him being involved with a couple hydro programs.Norm and I sold him a couple Kurtis hydro's. He still might have a shop ,haven't heard from him in years

Thanks Greg, from what I've been told, Bob has passed away. He built a motor for a friend of mine that's in his Bonneville racer, 8 years on that motor with nothing more than oil changes. Sounds like he was a neat guy.

Heard the same thing, i'll go buy there on my way home from work today and check it out if I get a chance.

Bob was a good guy and really helped me out a number of times. I remember going in there and asking a thousand ?'s watching him work on that hydro. Even though I probley got on his nerves a bit at times he allways answered my dumb ?'s and was a totaly cool guy.
