    Default Tahiti Jet boats

Buddy has one, it has really short/skinny gunnels. THe boat came with a bow mount fuel tank but he wants to put saddles in it. Curious if any of you guys with these boats were able to put 8" round tanks in them or if you had to go rectangle. Pics please!

I'll be interested to see the answers as well, since I have a 16' 6" Tahiti with a loose bow tank that I'm going to remove and replace with some sort of saddle tanks.

if its at all possible i would definately go with round saddle tanks cause i have the rectangle tanks in mine and it would cost a chit load to switch to the better looking saddle tanks plus mine look like crap its a good thing i have panels to cover them up

Where can you find some nice round tanks in about the 10 gal each range?

i know in mine i would not be able to fit round at about 10 gal.. maybee 7gal.. my tanks are shapped to fit the floor and side of the boat and they go all the way from the front gunnel support to about 10" short of the transom. and are 11 gallon each. the interior side panels cover them though so you can't see them.

All of these boats i've seen have the rectangle shaped to the boat takes or the bow tank. I was curious if anybody had installed round tanks in theres. The problem i see is with lining up the fuel fill otherwise it would mount like any other boat....

I don't have a Tahiti but on mine they just turned the tank until it lined up (more or less) with the fill.

Well, in my case there isn't a fuel fill to line up with since the original tank was in the bow.

My old 1976 18' Tiger had twin 8" Moon saddle tanks.

My Tahiti is 15'11", I don't know that measurements from mine would help you. Mine has 12 gallon rectangular's. I would think taking a new set to a good welder could make them work, then have them polished afterwards.

I can get a set of the regular trianglular type saddle tanks that are made of aluminum, 48" long, I guess I could make those work.
