The FAA Physical is rather extensive.
You first have to fill out all the forms which takes forever and a day. When you finally get in to see the Dr. you will have to do the eye test which includes color blindness. You will have to be checked for hernia (which as BGMNAN stated, play with your balls. They will draw blood from you. Just makes sure you have a good vein they can stick because usually the nurses are the ones that pull the blood and they can take many stabs and miss. Then the Doc will have you drop trow and bend over while he jams his finger up your ass and digs for what you would believe to be a 10 million dollar coin. Then it is the normal Blood pressure, heart rate etc. Its no biggie.
I've gotten one every 6 months for the last 12 years, never had the finger in the wazoo, it's blood pressure, vision, listen to you breath and your heart, and the hernia check. Takes about 20 minutes from start to finish if the doc isn't busy. You can go to the FAA website and download the form and fill it out on your computer, and if you have the right doctor you can fill the form out online and they can retrieve it from the FAA. If you are going for a First class and are over 35 they will do an EKG.
IHBA has the form you can print and then you can fill it out and hand it over to your doctor to do his deed.
