    Default Hey Rexone

After putting that steering post on a diet it ended up being 2.5 lbs. lighter.

We drilled some 3/4 and 7/16 pockets into the dash side to get some material out of it.

CS, I have the same one. Things a F'ing deadley weapon in stock trim. 4.5 lbs on my bathroom scale. I need the thing trimmed down. The lightening holes on the flange are a good idea besides turning it down to something useable. Mabey even flute the thing? Not bashing on the post Rex, alot of material to work with if you want a custom piece.

Here is a pic of the origional piece. They're nicely made and most of the hard work is already done (boring the center hole) just needed to be lightened a little.

One more pic of the finished product.

LMAO I pulled that pic from the Rex Marine section here on the boards so you would have to ask Rex.

The holes didnt do much as far as lightening but it was worth doing, turning the OD down did the trick. Its a bad ass part thats nicely made and unless your picky about weight the part is good as is.
