You should see the water here in Sacramento. American River where once people drownd, now you can walk across on dry river rock. Thank you So. Cal.

They do a great job of dredging up the bottom in shallow water (3'). Don't ask me how I know.

Once you got there and got use to it, it isn't so bad. Then when you leave and go somewhere else and realize you have no seasons, you miss it.

This is a theory i will not subscribe to!
I can wake up and surf!...by 10am i can snowboard the local decent resorts, then by 3pm i can drive 15min. from the resorts, and ride my dirtbike (if i still had it) if i then wanted....by 8pm, i could round up my day in Blythe drinking a cold beer awaiting my next day, with a line in the water lookin for dinner, BTW its 65-70 deg. today in Socal, your welcome from the SoCal'ers.
Dont hate the playa....hate the game!
Some day when the big one hits,...cuz it will, you can reap the bennies, and have the beach front land, or just move down here and enjoy it with us, its not that bad!

i just wish i could snowboard a little closer then bear
me and a friend came up with the Grand Slam this consists of 4 things you must Be on the water to drink a beer, you must be at the sand dunes and ride or party, you must kill something like a rabbit or bird (Dove Season), and you must get a piece of tail (Female naked and insertion) all in 24hrs then you have hit a Grand Slam i hit it a few times and its a blast to try and top yourself each year
