Not Mine, etc.

If this boat has no rot (even if it has a little), then it's a bargain for sure. Currently on Boat Trader/Trader Online.

I would take a Southwind over a tahiti any day, Even with a ford. It was nice to finally meet you Paul and Rod.

Next year I am going to get on the decals a little earlier and have more to go around. Also I may have to bring out my boat too. Odds are next year will be my (Hopefully sons) new kids first trip out. He is due Aug 8.

After seeing Marc's Tahiti after it had been hit by another boat and after seeing 2 Southwind's crack/fall apart on the bottom I'd rather have the Tahiti, but that choice is probably due to my lack of experience.

It was good meeting you too Cy. Let me know if you need anything, Rod. :)devil

I actually went and looked at that boat a few months ago. He has a nice Caddy in the garage. IF I RECALL correctly, the moving parts on the jet (Steering Nozzles and Reverse) seemed pretty loose to me and the seats werent bolted down. He also proceeded to start it dry and told he he did it all of the time. When I told him he shouldnt be doing that he said its OK to do it! So I walked away.

I'd say that if anyone wants to build a Comp Circle Jet, for example, this is a great starting point. That's why I was looking at it. You get the powerplant, interior is ready to come out, etc. Tandem trailer, a highly respected hull brand and proven handling v-bottom hull design, etc. All that boat for his ASKING price of a measely $2800. Have you checked the price of a tandem axle trailer lately? Jet pump? etc. It all adds up QUICK! No matter if things on the boat are loose such as cable and steering; every second-hand boat needs TLC, and something like this would be great for diassembling and reconfiguring for getting into racing....or hell, for just bombing around on the lake for a mere $2800 bux, as most jet boats can be typically three times that price these days.,,,and you still need to put something into them.

Nice to meet you, too, Moneysucker. More talk next time....assuming Danhercules doesn't take me out drinking again the night before the get-together. :)coffee
