Default Lo Profile intake and Engine alignment

Well thanks to Hass and others input on the inducer issue which turned into Greg S. twisting my arm and talking me into a MPD LoPro intake setup :-) How much is this gonna throw off my DL angle ? It's no big deal as I've got to install new motor rails but how much is it off from Original pump ?

It will change a bit. It will bring your jet closer to the motor for one. Also you will most likely have starter and oil foyer clearance issues. I have maybe 1/4 inch clearance from the top of e tunnel to my starter on my Southwind tunnel. Top mount starter and a remote oil filter most likely are in your future.

I have an mpd lo pro, stock location mini starter, and stock location k&n 2002 oil filter. plenty of clearance. I do have to lift the engine to change the starter, but that doesn't happen too often. ran the same setup in my sw with a lo pro too. no problem changing the oil filter.

not suggesting it wouldn't. just that it's not essential just because it's a lo pro.

    BP ,
I was looking into a mini starter already , like the MSD or Powermaster , there should be plenty of room for one of those shouldn't it ?
Sure glad I haven't drilled my new motor rails yet !

Top mount starter would make life easier. I've seen a few guys run a bottom mount mini starter in a tunnel with a low pro, just doesn't look very accessible in most applications.

MSD Starter is the best I've ever run. Been in one of our blown programs for 4 years. Cranks like a champ with only a little battery

I installed a tilton super starter in the sw in '97. ran it until the end of 2010. never had one ounce of problem with it. last year, installed an msd. very happy with it so far.
like kjell said, access isn't "easy", but it's not impossible. like I already mentioned, I need to lift the engine to change the starter. for a few years, that was happening more often than I like. may get another msd for back up...
